✦ Custom Fabric Dyeing

Custom fabric dyeing in your brand’s colour.

Our custom fabric dyeing service colours natural-fibre fabrics into solid shades that match your reference: a Pantone TCX code or a fabric swatch. A colour sample comes first, so you can confirm the shade before going into production.

What is fabric dyeing

Custom fabric dyeing: white fabric into an even, solid colour.

Custom fabric dyeing colours fabric by the metre until the shade is even from end to end. The result is plain, solid-coloured fabric, ready to cut and sew into your collection.

It is different from tie-dye, which creates patterns on purpose, and from printing, which applies a design to the fabric surface. If you need your brand’s signature colour as a plain fabric, dyeing is the answer.

At Zalmon Fabric, dyeing is done on natural-fibre fabrics, from 300 metres per colour, with a colour sample before production. Our team is based in Bandung, Indonesia, and works with fashion brands across Indonesia and beyond.

Why dye with Zalmon

Why dye with Zalmon: consistent solid colours.

How to order

How custom fabric dyeing works, from colour reference to finished fabric.

  1. Consult & choose a base fabric

Chat with our team on WhatsApp, tell us what you need, then choose the base fabric. Minimum order is 300 m per colour and per fabric type.

  2. Send your colour reference

Send a Pantone TCX code, or a colour reference in fabric form. It is most accurate when the swatch is on the same fabric type.

  3. Colour sampling

We make a 10×10 cm sample for each colour. Sampling costs IDR 350,000 and can cover several colours.

    7–14 working days
  4. Check & approve the sample

Check the sample in natural daylight against your reference. Once it is right, approve it to start production.

  5. Dyeing production

Your fabric is dyed to the approved sample. The sample fee is deducted from the production payment.

FAQ

Fabric dyeing questions

What is the minimum order for custom fabric dyeing at Zalmon?

The minimum order is 300 metres for one colour and one fabric type.

What is the difference between fabric dyeing and tie-dye?

Our fabric dyeing produces plain fabric in an even, solid colour. Tie-dye deliberately creates patterns by binding the fabric before dyeing. If you need a pattern, choose custom digital printing.

Why can the colour vary slightly between batches?

Orders above 300 metres are dyed in several batches. Even for the same colour, results between batches can vary by around 5–10%. This is normal in dyeing, so talk to our team first if you need a perfectly uniform colour.

How long does fabric dyeing take?

Colour samples take 7–14 working days. Once you approve the sample, production takes 30 working days.

Can I use a Pantone code as the colour reference?

Yes. Send us a Pantone TCX code, or a colour reference in fabric form.

How much does a colour sample cost?

Sampling costs IDR 350,000 and can cover several colours. If you go ahead with production, the fee is deducted from the production payment. If not, the sample fee is non-refundable.

Need solid-colour fabric without waiting for dyeing?

Check our Ready Stock Solid Color range for plain-dyed fabrics that are ready to ship.

Got a signature colour for your collection?

Send us your colour reference and our team will suggest the right base fabric and prepare your sample.
