FAQ

Zalmon Fabric uses digital printing techniques with reactive ink, where the design will be printed directly on the fabric surface made of 100% natural fiber without intermediate media (not sublimation printing). Furthermore, the fabric will be steamed, washed, dried, and finished perfectly and can be used immediately.

Fabrics have more than 30 types of natural and organic fabrics that you can choose from, ranging from Cotton, Rayon, Tencel™ from Lenzing, silk and bamboo. Everything is made of 100% natural fiber without polyester content.

We use digital printing technology so that all designs can be printed without any colour restrictions and no design size restrictions. The design format that can be printed must be in RGB colour mode.

Cotton is made of cotton fiber, with a stiffer fabric character and has fabric bones. Rayon is made of cellulose wood fiber, with a softer texture and flowy.

Both are the same type of fabric, only different terms are used in different countries.

It can be by a Burning Test, which is by burning its fibers. For organic fabrics, fibers will burn like paper and produce dust that can be lost, re-integrating with nature. As for polyester fabric, it will burn like plastic and have a chemical odour, then produce residues that will clot and harden (cannot be lost), and fire is more difficult to extinguish.

All fabrics in Zalmon Fabric are made of 100% natural fibers where the basic ingredients come from cotton, wood, bamboo fibers and other natural materials. We are not referring to organic in the sense of the process of planting plants without pesticides, except for our TencelTM fabric it has organic certification from Lenzing Austria. Sustainable production is in the sense that all our fabric manufacturing processes are equipped with water treatment (recycling) and waste management to produce a more environmentally friendly closed loop cycle.

Tencel™ is a type of fabric that is part of the Rayon fabric family and is a trademark of Lenzing Austria. We have various types of Tencel™ fabrics in different types with various variations.

The production process takes 7-10 working days, including: the design and fabric preparation process - the printing process - the steaming process - the washing and drying process - the finishing process. The finished fabric will be sent from our workshop in Bandung, Indonesia. The production process will follow the Daily Fabric Print Production Schedule, where payment must be received H-2 before the schedule is allocated. We have different fabric type production schedules every day. For the full schedule, please refer to this page.

We use a type of water-based reactive ink that already has the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 global standard so it is safe for use by infants and children.

We already have several certifications including:

- Organic fabric certification from Lenzing Austria for Tencel™ fabric

- International standard certification of 100% natural fabric composition ISO / TR 11827: 2012 for cotton and rayon fabrics

- Global standard ink certification from Oeko-Tex Standard 100

All production processes at Zalmon Fabric already have international standards for waste management and water treatment, where we have recycling and water treatment processes in our production facilities. In addition, all of our fabrics are also made of 100% natural fibers which can be decomposed together with nature to produce products that are more environmentally friendly compared to polyester fabrics.

The price listed on our website is the price of fabric per meter including fabric price + printing price. The price of the fabric will vary depending on the type of fabric and the total length of the fabric ordered.

Yes, we have print only services (without fabric), provided the fabric must be 100% made of natural fibers and white-coloured based, with a minimum order of 100 meters. Fabric from the customer must be in the form of pfp fabric (prepare for print), not greige fabric. The price of print only services includes the price of the fabric coating (pre-treatment process) and the complete finishing process. For full terms of print only services, please refer to this page.

We also have Fabric Dye services, which will produce fabrics of the same colour on the front and back of the fabric. For more complete Fabric Dye services, please see this page. We also have Rotary Printing services for a minimum quantity of 6000 yards per design. Please contact our customer service to find out more about Rotary Printing.

We have a design service in the form of tracing design, with the condition that we need a reference or design direction. References can be obtained from Pinterest, Goggle, Instagram or real product photos, and then will be redesigned and then processed into high-resolution textile designs that are ready to print. The price of making the design will be calculated based on the complexity and duration of the work. We can also help make digital patterns for clothing patterns as long as we are given references (can be paper patterns or size directives). For more details about textile design making services can be seen on this page.

Yes, we sell fabric catalogues and colour charts that can be used as a reference, can be bought on this page. Colour chart can be used as a colour reference for comparison of colours on a computer screen and colours that come out on each different type of fabric.

The duration of making a fabric sample of 30 cm is 7-10 working days, this is because the fabric sample making and large production will go through the same long complete process (not only the printing process). Therefore the duration of fabric sample making cannot be accelerated.

Yes you can, you can do a colour matching first by giving physical colour directions (can be paper or fabric or TPX pantone code for paper material and TCX for fabric material). There will be an additional cost and time for the colour matching process which is around 3-7 working days, depending on the level of difficulty and colour complexity.
